Governance and AMLA Workshop
The three-day workshop on Good Governance and the Anti-Money Laundering Act was attended by Ms. Susan C. Arellano, Head of Support Services, Ms. Amaileen R. Baptista, Senior Insurance Supervisor, and Mr. Mc Roald Suarez, Compliance Officer. The workshop, held on October 18-20, 2023, at the Saint Francis Square Building in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, provided a comprehensive overview of good governance principles and the importance of effective anti-money laundering measures in today’s regulatory landscape.
Participants gained a deep understanding of the critical role that governance and AML compliance play in safeguarding organizations against financial crime and ensuring ethical business practices. They actively participated in workshops focusing on implementing best practices in governance, risk management, and compliance. They explored strategies for enhancing transparency, accountability, and integrity within their organization, as well as techniques for identifying and mitigating money laundering risks. Through collaboration with industry experts and peers, attendees exchanged valuable knowledge and practical solutions to address the challenges they face in their roles.
