Project Elisha Education Essentials “Tulong! Dunong! Sulong sa Pagbabago!
Elisha was a devoted student and disciple of the prophet Elijah. He followed Elijah closely, learned from him, and eventually inherited his prophetic ministry. In a world where education is the cornerstone of progress and opportunity, ensuring that every child has access to the necessary tools for learning is paramount. This school year 2023-2024, TSPI MBAI has launched a transformative school program aimed at bridging the gap in access to educational resources. Project Elisha provided free school supplies to 210 students from underserved communities from seven Sambayahihan Centers (SC) or 30 students per Sector fostering a more equitable educational landscape.
The objectives of the program are as follows:
1. Help member-parents with school expenses so students can focus on their studies and personal growth without the added stress that resource limitations may bring.
2. Enhance academic success, boost self-esteem, and promote inclusivity among students by equipping them with educational essentials and preparing them for better learning
experience.
3. Remind both member-parents and students the importance of education as the first step in overcoming poverty.
4. Expose the member-parents to a biblical way of raising children via bible study programs focusing on the family learning series
COMPREHENSIVE SUPPLY KITS:
Each chosen student in the Project Elisha Program received a comprehensive supply kit tailored to their grade level and academic needs. These kits include essential items such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, folders, glue, water tumblers, lunch boxes, face towels, umbrellas, and socks. TSPI MBAI also considered giving away PE uniforms such as jogging pants, t-shirts, and undergarments for selected areas with LGUs providing school supplies. This is to ensure that we address their school needs.
BIBLE STUDY AND LEARNING SERIES
TSPI and TSPI MBAI go beyond the provision of physical supplies by organizing bible study and learning series aimed at educating the parent members on the importance of education according to the Bible and the biblical role of parents in a child’s life. These learning series will empower the member parents in guiding and disciplining their children therefore create good Christian citizens in their community.
